Blake Ayers worked for Perry County Government for 5 years. He was a very dependable young man. Not only did Blake work for the Perry County Highway Department, he held two other jobs to support his small family. He mowed on his time off, and also ran a small excavating business called “Bent Cedar Farms.”
Not only was Blake a hard worker, he was a friend to everyone when traveling these roads whether it be work or time off. If he saw an elderly person or neighbor working by themselves, he would stop and lend them a hand. Along the way, he made numerous friends.
Blake started work at a young age to help his mother out, and is his mother and little brother’s hero. Blake finished his life being respected and loved by many. His motto for life was “Live Life to the Fullest,” because you never know which day will be your last. He was a laborer of the land and was an old soul that is very rare to come by these days.
