What can the Perry County Veterans Service Officer do for me?
- Assist with obtaining medical, behavior health and mental health benefits
- Provide assistance with filing of claims, including medical and other benefits
- Access emergency housing funds & make referrals
- Access emergency food & clothing banks
- Provide assistance with home loan applications
- Assist veterans in locating and utilizing community resources
- Offer mentoring

Additional Perry County resources for veterans includes the 56th Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. Chapter 56 DAV in Perry County supports area veterans of all Armed Forces branches. Chartered by the United States Congress, the DAV can assist disabled vets with accessing benefits, providing guidance for educational benefits, insurance and rehabilitation programs working with the Veterans Service Officer.
