The Neighborhood Service Center provides assistance to Perry County residents who need help with meal delivery, weatherizing a home, assistance with paying energy bills and emergency food access. Many of these resources are available to those with lower incomes. When you come to the Center for financial assistance, you will need to bring proof of household income to include any additional sources such as SSI, spouses income, as well as the date of birth and Social Security Cards for all household members. For heating or cooling assistance, you will need to bring the latest copy of your electric bill.
For commodities distribution, you or your designated representative will need to bring the commodities card issued by this office. The Center is also able to help you access the Head Start program for your children. Head Start is a child development program that provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to children and their families. We have qualified teachers that work together with families to ensure children are getting ready for school. For additional information you may contact Patricia Warren at (931) 589-2130.
