Katie Adell Perkinson is the daughter of Michael and Ellen Perkinson. She was 2nd in her class last year with a 3.967 GPA.
Katie has been involved in the 4-H Club since the 4th Grade. She is a member of the Beta Club, FCA, Skills USA club, and the Art Club. She has been an active member of FFA since her freshman year. She has previously held the offices of Secretary and Vice-President, and this year she is the President of the Future Farmers of America. Katie has already earned over 40 community service hours just for the first half of the school year.
Katie made a 30 on her ACT with a perfect score of 36 inb reading. She plans to be a Veterinarian, beginning her college career at UT Martin then completing her degree at UT Knoxville. She has already been accepted to the University of Tennessee at Martin for fall 2023. She has been awarded the Chancellor scholarship of $3,000 and also the Honors Scholarship of $2,500 from Martin. Katie won both the county and regional MLEC essay contests, earning her an additional $3,000 scholarship.
