Voting is underway now through midnight Wednesday, January 29th, in the annual Perry County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Community Excellence Awards.
Categories are volunteer, public servant, good neighbor, student, student/athlete, educator, small business, community organization, and man and woman of the year.
Nominations closed January 12th.

The 2024 Perry County Chamber of Commerce Community Excellence Awards will be held at
Linden Valley Baptist Conference Center on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 6 p.m.
Thanks to Allyson Dickey, and the posts she's created on Facebook, we are able to present to you the nominees listed for 2023. The winners will be announced at the dinner on the 26th at the Baptist Conference Center, and tickets are availalbe from Allyson at the Chamber office in the Welcome Center.
Allyson stated, "Join us in honoring all nominees and winners at the 2023 Community Excellence Awards on Thursday, January 25th, at Linden Valley Baptist Conference Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person."

Several of you have asked me about the Chamber Award nominations and voting. We originally said we would have those to the public by the day after Christmas. This did not happen due to several factors, but primarily the following three reasons:
WITH ALL THAT SAID, WE WILL HAVE THE BALLOTS OUT NEXT TUESDAY, JANUARY 2ND, WHEN WE RESUME NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. I WILL CONTACT ALL NOMINEES AT THAT TIME. WE WILL VOTE UNTIL ON OR AROUND THE 10TH, AND ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS AT THE BANQUET HELD AT LINDEN VALLEY CONFERENCE CENTER ON JANUARY 25TH AT 6 P.M.
I appreciate y'alls patience, and I'm sorry for any confusion the delay has caused.
