The Miss Perry County Scholarship Organization holds a competition each year where the titleholder is awarded a minimum $500 Scholarship along with prize packages worth up to $750 or more.

Miss Perry County is a preliminary competition to the Miss Tennessee scholarship Competition and both are extensions of the Miss America Organization, which is one of the nation’s largest providers of scholarship assistance to young women. The young lady that holds the title of Miss Perry County gains experience through interviews, public speaking, talent, promoting their social impact initiative, social media promotion, and compete for the title of Miss Tennessee. At the state level of competition, Miss
Perry County is awarded additional academic and community-based scholarships as well as possible scholarships for performance and community service efforts.
During her service as Miss Perry County, she is supported by a team of local Directors and other professional and community-minded volunteers to help prepare her for the state level of competition by providing professional development sessions, public speaking engagements, community service opportunities and more.
