Perry County 4-H Youth Development is a program lead by UT Extension.
Its mission is to provide research-based educational experiences that will enable Perry County students to gain knowledge, develop life skills, leadership skills, and form positive attitudes to prepare them to be successful in the workforce and to be leaders in civic engagement.
4th graders and above can participate in 4-H through clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camps, and many other activities. Providing our county’s youth with new opportunities to “Learn by Doing,” the 4-H motto, is the goal of Perry County 4-H Youth Development. Current activities include monthly club meetings, monthly contests, Chick Chain, Public Speaking, Shooting Sports, Wildlife Judging, Grill Masters Challenge, 4-H camps, unique educational programs, and more.
