Billy Ray Yarbro is married to Darlene Yarbro. He is a member of the Linden Church of Christ. He has taught school for over 42 years, and he has coached basketball for 42 years.
Billy Ray is currently the Athletic Director at Perry County High School. He has been a city alderman for 22 years, the president of Perry County Education Association for 16 years, and the owner of Linden Rug Rental and Party Time Inflatables.
His passion is being an educator. “BR” as he is affectionately known, feels a teacher is like an artist, creating and molding something that is not exactly the same as anything previously. He is very honored to be nominated for man of the year.
